        <p>
      Following on from recent posts regarding the changing nature of this website there
      is a new page all about <a href="http://www.improveyourfuture.co.uk/debt-problems.html">debt
      problems</a>. This is going to be the main focus of this website going forward and
      several other pages have been/will be adapted to reflect this.
   </p>
        <p>
      When the website was originally set up it focused on a particular business opportunity.
      This has now faded away and I am no longer involved in it. Other business opportunities
      have been and gone but, to be frank, I am rather dissillusioned with them all.
   </p>
        <p>
      The lure of easy money tempts us all but there is no substitute for hard work and
      that is why I am now focused on a new project and why I'm still working at 23.24!
   </p>
        <p>
      I already have a number of debt related sites such as <a href="http://www.financeworx.co.uk/debt-management.htm">Financeworx
      Debt Management</a> and I will be working hard to promote them any way I can to achieve
      my objectives.
   </p>
        <p>
      Rather than just hope enquiries come my way I have set a goal of 50 debt enquiries
      by the end of August. This might be ambitious as so far I have only had 1 but this
      is no time for excuses. A positive attitude is needed and I need to make it happen.
   </p>
        <p>
      I'm also working on Debts 2 Go website and I've just posted an article on the blog
      about <a href="http://www.debts2go.co.uk/blog/2010/08/becoming-debt-free/">becoming
      debt free</a>.
   </p>
        <p>
      Why focus on debt? Debt is one of the growing areas in many people's life. Did you
      know total personal debt in the UK stands around £1.5 trillion?
   </p>
        <p>
      The name of this site is Improve Your Future and for anyone who is struggling with
      debt an opportunity to reduce and ultimately become debt free would do just that.
   </p>
        <p>
      It's not impossible no matter how bad your circumstances. It might be hard and you
      might have to make sacrifices but it will be worth it in the end.
   </p>
        <p>
      Visit the debt problems page to find out more and to make an initial enquiry to see
      what can be offered. Some solutions can write off your debt by up to 70% before reducing
      your monthly repayments, making it easier and quicker to <a href="http://www.debts2go.co.uk/">get
      out of debt</a>.
   </p>

        <p>
      Debt - it's a big business. It's estimated that the total level of personal debt in
      the UK is around £1,460 billion! This is an almost unimageinable number. It does mean
      that a large proportion of people reading this blog are in debt.
   </p>
        <p>
      Debt in itself is not necessarily a problem. For instance many people with a large
      mortgage do not class themselves as "in debt" as they can manage the debt without
      problem, making their monthly payments each month.
   </p>
        <p>
      When debt becomes a problem is if you are struggling to keep up with repayments of
      your monthly bills. If you recognise this situation you should act as soon as possible.
      Failing to address debt problems will only make them worse.
   </p>
        <p>
      For free debt advice visit <a href="http://www.ivadebtproblem.co.uk/">IVA Debt Problem</a> who
      offer a complete debt solution. This includes debt management, debt consolidation
      loans, and IVAs (Individual Voluntary Arrangements).
   </p>
        <p>
      With so many people in debt in the UK there is an opportunity to help them by training
      to become a debt counsellor. This allows you to work from home with hours to suit
      you.
   </p>
        <p>
      Not only is it a way of earning a living (and it could be a good living) but you will
      be helping solve debt problems for many people who are struggling.
   </p>
        <p>
      We are currently formulating a debt training package including a two day training
      course which will take place in the Midlands. At the end of this training course
      you will be straight up and running with your new business.
   </p>
        <p>
      Leads in your area can be supplied to get you off to a good start and you can quickly
      start to generate an income. We provide help and support at every step of the way.

        <p>
      I've launched a new blog on the Word Press website. You can find it by clicking - <a href="http://a21cntony3.wordpress.com/">http://a21cntony3.wordpress.com/</a>.
      I have put a permanent link to it in the "Navigation" links on the right hand side
      of this blog.
   </p>
        <p>
      It's not my first Word Press blog (I previously used one on a website I worked on)
      but it is my first online blog at the Word Press site. It will deal with all of my
      website work plus random other stuff happening in life.
   </p>
        <p>
      As I get so little time to update this blog it might seem a little strange to be taking
      another one on but my Word Press blog will be very much work orientated so will feature
      a lot more work content. This one can then deal with more personal stuff, rather than
      resembling a website promotion board.
   </p>
        <p>
      I haven't finished changing the look and feel of it yet - primarily because I haven't
      learnt how to yet! The initial photo of a person walking in the countryside is quite
      nice though so maybe I won't change it too much.
   </p>
        <p>
      My first post has been made though - <a href="http://a21cntony3.wordpress.com/2010/07/12/hello-world/">http://a21cntony3.wordpress.com/2010/07/12/hello-world/</a> -
      dealing with my latest finance related website (<a href="http://www.carloans.co.uk/">car
      loans and car finance</a>) and my new foray into camping.
   </p>
        <p>
      My competition wins have been updated - <a href="http://www.improveyourfuture.co.uk/competition-wins-2010.html">Competition
      Wins 2010</a> - with another small win. No sign of a biggie at the moment even though
      I'm finding enough time (just about) to enter plenty via my favourite competition
      site - The Prizefinder.com.
   </p>
        <p>
      This site has recently had a complete overhaul and the changes have not been universally
      well received. I have found it to be a change for the better, after the initial learning
      curve which comes with all change.
   </p>
        <p>
      Fingers crossed for a big win soon - we could really do with it.

      It offers car loans to all types of applicants, tenants and homeowners, with

    <content type="xhtml">
      <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        <p>
      I started my first website in June 1999. At that time I new nothing about websites
      and got it built by a friend of a friend who owed me a favour.
   </p>
        <p>
      In the following months, as I needed to update the site, I taught myself a little
      about html and went on from there. Throughout the last 11 years I have had a number
      of websites online and spent a fair proportion of that time earning enough from them
      to pay the bills.
   </p>
        <p>
      I've never hit upon the idea that is going to make me a million, and I've put in lots
      of effort for fairly average rewards, but I live in hope every time I launch a new
      website!
   </p>
        <p>
      Anyone can start a new business online. You don't necessarily need your own website,
      for instance there are many ebay traders who use the ebay platform exclusively.
   </p>
        <p>
      If you do need your own website the domain name and hosting do not cost much and even
      if you need to get it built by a web designer there are plenty of freelance designers
      offering good deals.
   </p>
        <p>
      Starting a business online is easy, <a href="http://www.improveyourfuture.co.uk/">making
      money online</a> is much tougher. A website without visitors isn't going to generate
      much of an income.
   </p>
        <p>
      Many people I know have come to me over the years with internet business ideas and
      wanted to launch new websites but have not thought about where they are going to get
      visitors from. This is the fundamental problem with most new websites.
   </p>
        <p>
      So as well as a good idea you need to think about how to get that idea across to as
      many people as possible. This will usually involve promoting your business offline
      as well as online.
   </p>
        <p>
      Does your new business have geographical limitations? If you are only offering your
      service in your local area promotion by way of leaflet drops and local advertising
      is the obvious first step.
   </p>
        <p>
      It is also easier to achieve good positions in the organic search results quickly
      if you have a geographical limited keyphrase. eg. "plumber in Nottingham" rather than
      just "plumber".
   </p>
        <p>
      A quick way to start a new business online is to buy a ready built website. We offer
      just such a service at <a href="http://www.improveyourfuture.info/">Improve Your Future</a> and
      along with the website comes a host of promotional ideas, help and advice.
   </p>
        <p>

      <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        <p>
      It's been a while since I've updated the blog as I've been busy with various things
      and thinking about a complete change of direction for this website. I haven't finalised
      those plans yet so can't report anything here at the moment, you'll just have to wait
      and see.
   </p>
        <p>
      What I have been doing is working on some new websites for a friend of mine who is
      in the EPC business. He was in the HIP business but that's now dead and buried so
      he needs some help getting some EPC work.
   </p>
        <p>
      I may have mentioned before on this blog that I was once a DEA (Domestic Energy Assessor)
      but this was short-lived. I must have done 50-100 EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates)
      during my brief stint but work dried up and I needed a full time job to support my
      family.
   </p>
        <p>
      At the moment the EPCs are available throughout the East Midlands counties of Derbyshire,
      Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. I have knocked up a quick webpage on three sites
      as follows:
   </p>
        <ul>
          <li>
            <a href="http://www.derbyshireenergyassessors.co.uk/">Derbyshire Energy Assessors</a>
          </li>
          <li>
            <a href="http://www.leicestershireenergyassessors.co.uk/">Leicestershire Energy Assessors</a>
          </li>
          <li>
            <a href="http://www.nottinghamshireenergyassessors.co.uk/">Nottinghamshire Energy
         Assessors</a>
          </li>
        </ul>
        <p>
      Regardless of size of property or location <strong>the cost of an EPC is £34</strong> plus
      vat (£39.95 total). This is actually a VERY good price and you would be hard pushed
      to better it.
   </p>
        <p>
      My house has been on the market for a few months and I arranged my HIP (including
      EPC) with them. The EPC was emailed to me on the day of inspection - they are very
      efficient.
   </p>
        <p>
      So if you are looking to get an EPC in Derbyshire, Leicestershire or Nottinghamshire
      please consider them and visit the above websites. A couple of minutes filling in
      their online form and you will quickly have your £34 epc.
   </p>
        <p>
      For those looking for an EPC outside of the East Midlands they also have contacts
      throughout the UK from their days as HIP providers. They built up a national panel
      of DEAs so could be able to offer you a £34 epc wherever you live in the UK. Just
      contact them to find out.

    <category term="Mobile Phones" label="Mobile Phones" scheme="dasBlog" />
    <content type="xhtml">
      <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Mobile phones are essential to most UK consumers
   these days, not only as a means of chatting and texting, but also as interactive hubs
   through which the internet and all that it offers can be accessed. Many people own
   two or three phones, which is proved by the fact that figures show the number of mobiles
   outweighs the number of people by about a sixth. The mobile market has experienced
   a bit of a slum due to the recent recession, but the easing of economic hardship has
   meant that experts predict significant growth for the mobile market this year and
   in particular the smartphone segment, which is set to expand as mainstream users become
   aware of the functions that the most powerful handsets offer.<br /><br />
   Because the mobile market in the UK is so mature the prices for pay monthly and pay
   as you go mobile phones are lower than in most other places. This is because network
   providers compete with one another to bring out the latest phones for free in conjunction
   with lengthy contracts. It can be a bit of a mine field if you are looking into buying
   a new mobile phone, because there are so many providers, handsets and packages to
   consider. If you want to learn how to save money on mobile phones, then read on.<br /><br />
   The best way to shop for mobile phones is online. If you head into the high street
   shops there is a high likelihood of being accosted and charmed into making an unsuitable
   purchase, although to get a hands-on feel of a phone before you buy it visiting a
   retail store may be your only option. Shopping online will allow you to compare the
   hundreds of different deals that are out there and will also let you view impartial
   advice from professionals and users who have experience with the products that are
   on offer.<br /><br />
   The UK has five major mobile networks to choose from, although there are a number
   of smaller firms who piggyback on the largest networks` infrastructure to provide
   their services. O2 and Vodafone have the biggest subscriber base, although this will
   change once Orange and T-Mobile complete their merger. 3 is the largest independent
   network provider, although it is still smaller than the four rivals. Your choice of
   network will depend partly on which offers the best coverage in your area. If you
   want to access the internet on your mobile phone, then 3G coverage should be a priority
   fact to check up on before you commit. Most providers should have coverage maps available
   and price comparison sites will also offer you the ability to check.<br /><br />
   You choice of provider will hinge on many other factors, including the phones that
   they offer, the kinds of tariffs they provide and the minimum contractual period over
   which you will be required to pay for your mobile phone service. If you are looking
   for <a href="http://www.mobiles.co.uk/">cheap mobile phones</a> for pay as you go
   use then this should be less important as pay as you go customers are not tied down
   by contracts and only pay for what they use. <img width="0" height="0" src="http://www.improveyourfuture.co.uk/blog/aggbug.ashx?id=ef09e383-c5d9-4963-8df7-b284ffcaee23" /></div>

        <p>
      Well that's my holiday screwed for another year. I was due to fly to Thailand from
      Heathrow at 12.30pm last Thursday, when they cancelled all flights from 12pm! So the
      volcanic ash has claimed another victim, one of millions Europe-wide.
   </p>
        <p>
      It cost me some money, not on my main flight but on a connecting flight, plus a wasted
      day and diesel travelling to and from Heathrow. Plus I apparently have to wait several
      weeks for my refund (why?). Anyway it could have been worse and many people are in
      a much worse predicament stranded abroad or missing really important events rather
      than just a sunny holiday.
   </p>
        <p>
      It will be interesting to see when flights resume, and whether the airlines apparently
      succesful test flights in the volcanic ash sway the decision to re-open European air
      space. There are going to be some serious economic consequences if flights don't resume
      soon.
   </p>
        <p>
      So it's back to the day job instead of lazing on the beach. Currently continuing work
      on <a href="http://www.ivadebtproblem.co.uk/">IVA Debt Problem</a>, a website dealing
      with <a href="http://www.ivadebtproblem.co.uk/">debt problems</a> and solutions including
      debt management, debt consolidation and IVAs.
   </p>
        <p>
      Starting to make its way up the rankings, albeit rather slowly, but I have high hopes
      for it making the front page for a key phrase or two in the next few months.
   </p>
        <p>
      Nothing much else to report, no <a href="http://www.improveyourfuture.co.uk/competitions.html">competition
      wins</a>, no good luck of any kind in fact! No new projects on the go, I really need
      to concentrate on the ones I already have and start to make them profitable (easier
      said than done).
   </p>
        <p>
      So just to remind you there are pages on the main website for <a href="http://www.improveyourfuture.co.uk/making-money.html">making
      money</a>, <a href="http://www.improveyourfuture.co.uk/online-business-opportunities.html">online

      the time - everyone could do with some more money in these difficult times.

        <p>
      Getting a mortgage these days can be difficult, even if you don't have credit problems.
      Mainstream lenders want applicants to tick all of their boxes otherwise it's a declined
      application.
   </p>
        <p>
      The great thing about <a href="http://www.mortgagerefused.co.uk/">Mortgage Refused</a> is
      that they have a mixture of mainstream and non-status lenders so they can cater for
      all types of applicant.
   </p>
        <p>
      Now they have introduced a new service enabling website visitors to <a href="http://www.mortgagerefused.co.uk/">compare
      mortgages online</a>. It only takes a minute or so to get a quick quote and another
      minute to make an initial enquiry if they produce a mortgage quote that you're happy
      with.
   </p>
        <p>
      Whether you have credit problems or not, Mortgage Refused will help you get the mortgage
      you want with a monthly repayment you can afford.
   </p>
        <p>
      They also offer a <a href="http://www.mortgagerefused.co.uk/">mortgage calculator</a> and
      a section on regular secured and unsecured loans. They have a standard rate phone
      number so if you want to discuss your circumstances before applying you can do so.
   </p>
        <p>
      A part of the Cavendish group they have over 30 years experience in the credit field,
      so you know you can rely upon them.

      <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        <p>
      Just been told about a new <a href="http://www.newhomecareer.co.uk/index.html">work
      from home business opportunity</a>. It's VERY early days at present and the website
      is not yet fully up and running but the details I have heard make it sound interesting.
   </p>
        <p>
      This business opportunity can be run from home and fit in around your existing commitments.
      It does involve some training but most people would be able to learn it in a relatively
      quick timescale.
   </p>
        <p>
      You are not on your own as some leads will be supplied as part of your package meaning
      you can be up and running and <a href="http://www.improveyourfuture.co.uk/making-money.html">making
      money</a> relatively quickly.
   </p>
        <p>
      As with all <a href="http://www.improveyourfuture.co.uk/online-business-opportunities.html">business
      opportunities</a> you cannot just sit on the sofa and expect cash to roll in without
      any work. You will only get out of it what you are prepared to put into it.
   </p>
        <p>
      Being self employed and working from home is not for everyone. Many people who are
      currently in 9 to 5 jobs and wishing they could make that change might be surprised
      how much self determination you need to make a go of it on your own. Also you don't
      have the safety net of a steady income when you first go self employed.
   </p>
        <p>
      So think carefully before getting involved with any type of work from home opportunity,
      although if it is part-time to start with (fitting around your main job) and does
      not involve a large financial commitment what have you got to lose?
   </p>
        <p>
      I can't post too many details at the moment but will do so as more information
      is made available. In the meantime keep your eyes on their website, <a href="http://www.newhomecareer.co.uk/">New
      Home Career</a>, which will launch fully in the coming weeks.
   </p>

        <p>
      A good Cheltenham festival for me. Started off with the first two winners on Tuesday
      at 12/1 and 6/1. Added 7/1 and 14/1 winners on Wednesday, a 9/1 winner on Thursday
      and very unlucky on Friday with a 33/1 second place. Made a very small profit but
      at least better than losing money.
   </p>
        <p>
      So no <a href="http://www.ivadebtproblem.co.uk/">debt problems</a> for me currently,
      although I'm not retiring either. On the subject of debt I'm currently working on
      a new <a href="http://www.ivadebtproblem.co.uk/blog.html">debt problem blog</a> for
      one of my website clients. This should be fully up and running by the end of the week
      and will offer debt advice and help for anyone who find themselves in this tricky
      situation.

            <u>UPDATE - 31st March 2010</u>
          </strong>
        </p>
        <p>
      This post was cut short as my wife was taken ill and ended up in hospital for an operation.
      Many thanks to my employers, <a href="http://www.21ctelecom.co.uk/">21c Telecom Ltd</a>,
      who have let me take time off at short notice to look after my wife and son.
   </p>
        <p>
      21c Telecom offer <a href="http://www.21ctelecom.co.uk/">business phones</a> to all
      UK businesses. This includes mobile phones, landline phones as well as broadband and
      mobile broadband. In fact they specialize in providing converged communication solutions
      for businesses large and small, handling all communication and IT provision ensuring
      the best possible mix of cost and efficiencies.
   </p>
        <p>
      Not sure when the next blog post will be as I will be looking after my wife for a
      few days yet as she recovers. Fingers crossed it will be about a big competition win
      as we need a bit of luck at the moment.
   </p>
